High Desert Shelf Cloud Time Lapse Video
The Breathtaking Weather of Arizona’s High Desert
This summer, I have been purposely targeting the high desert of Arizona more frequently. I have fallen in love with the landscape and the weather especially after last years success at the Grand Canyon, and my late spring success this year at Meteor Crater Road.
This road has become really special to me. I’ve captured some of my best time lapses, and maybe even one of my best of Monsoon 2014 so far. This time lapse highlights some of the amazing weather you might see in the high desert of Arizona. From the birth of a shelf cloud, to beautiful rain shafts, rainbows and even a little dust getting kicked up.

As I mentioned in my “Chasing With Purpose” blog, this year I have learned to value myself as a photographer. Valuing myself has allowed me to get back to my roots as a storm chaser. Learning how to have fun all over again, sharing my passion with others and more importantly creating high quality images are all possible because of my newly found approach to photography.
