Arizona Microburst Time Lapse

On August 8th, 2015 I captured one of the most personally fascinating weather phenomenons  I've ever witnessed in my life.  It was the full evolution of a microburst, lit up by the sun right over the city Tucson, Arizona.

From that day forward, I was hooked. I knew I had caught something special and wanted to do it again.  I had become obsessed with Microbursts and documenting them.  The obsession was so real that I was willing to wait (hours at times) at one spot that had all the variables needed for a good desert monsoon microburst.

The following gallery is a collection of several time lapses including the one mentioned above.  You'll notice that nearly every clip begins well before the downdraft (microburst) cycle of the Thunderstorm.  This allows the viewer to see almost the entire cycle of a thunderstorm. Updraft, downdraft or mature, and dissipation.
