FAQ

Where are you located?

I am located within the beautiful "Valley of the Sun" also known as Phoenix, Arizona.

How do I book a lifestyle portrait session?

To book a cinematic portrait video or video+portraits, please call me via phone (480-307-3555), e-mail (bryan@bryansnider) or via the contact me form at the bottom of this page. While you can reach me at any of the above options, the best form of communication for me is by a phone call.

We will then go over packages, locations, dates, and times. Once we've agreed upon a package, location date & time, you will then be sent a contract to sign as well as an invoice for the non-refundable deposit (retainer).

PLEASE NOTE: You ARE NOT booked until you've:

-Paid the deposit AND

-Sign the photography contract

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. To hold your date, a non-refundable deposit (retainer) must be made. The deposit is equal to half your session fee. (After booking, see Article 2.2 of your contract for more details)

How early should I arrive to my session?

Please plan accordingly to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your schedule photo session time. This allows us to begin your session on time without the apprehension of both parties feeling rushed.

Also keep in mind, Phoenix, Arizona is a big city and traffic can be very unpredictable. Please allow yourself plenty of time to account for unforeseen delays.

If you arrive earlier than 15 minutes, then let me know. There is a good chance I may already be at the location preparing for our shoot.

If parties are ready, we may be able start a little early :)

What if I am running late?

If you are running late, then please call me as soon as you can and inform me of your delay and approximate time of arrival.

Keep in mind that your "session start time" begins at the agreed upon time stated in Article 1.1 of the contract regardless of what time you actually arrive. In other words, anytime you miss as a result of being late will be forfeited.

In some situations, I may be able to accommodate you with additional time. If it's an option then I will offer it to you at an additional $100 per 30 minutes.

However, this may not always be possible. This is because the times that I recommend for most photoshoots will be booked during the best light of the day. This is also known as the Golden Hours (first hour after sunrise and last hour before sunset). For this reason additional time may not be possible do to lighting conditions, location closures and other unforeseen conditions. For this reason I can NEVER guarantee additional time.

So do your best to arrive on time (15 minutes early is best).

Cancellation / Rescheduling Policy

Cancellations or rescheduling (as stated in Articles 6.2 and 6.3 of the contract) must be made no later than 7 days prior. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of deposit and no refund will be given per Article 6.4 of the contract.

(For more information please review your contract or read the next question below "What if I need to cancel within 7 days of the session date?"

What if I need to cancel within 7 days of the session date?

Please understand that I completely acknowledge that unforeseen life events can happen where you may need to cancel or reschedule within 7 days of the session date.

If this happens, please call me as soon as you can to reschedule and go over your options. This will also allow me to offer your time slot to another potential customer.

Finally, in some situations, another non-refundable deposit (retainer fee) will be required to hold another date.

(See Article 6 of your contract)

How long will my film be?

This depends on a variety of factors. In most situations your cinematic portrait film will be somewhere between 30 seconds and 60 seconds.

While I want to give you as long of film as possible, my focus is primarily on creating a film with good pacing. This practice ultimately creates a film that keeps the viewer focused the entire time.

In other words, a longer film isn't necessarily better. A shorter film with better pacing, is often more visually appealing than a longer video that has weaker pacing.

See the examples above. Each film has good pacing, but vary in length.

What is your turnaround time?

Your final film will be delivered, in most circumstances within two weeks.

If you purchased the Film + Portraits package then allow another week.

In some situations, your film and images will require more time to process. If this is the case, I will communicate a personalized timeline.
